Level 2 Readiness Checklist

Before You Apply

Level 2 is an advanced certification program with supervised case consultation and competency assessment. Use this checklist to evaluate whether you have the foundational skills and clinical readiness to get the most from the program.

Foundational Training

☐Completed Level 1 Hypnotherapy Training (BHI) or equivalent foundational program

☐Understand basic trance induction methods (at least 3 approaches)

☐Can run a complete session from intake through closure without a script

☐Trained in informed consent and contraindication screening

☐Familiar with trauma-informed principles (stabilization, consent, titration)

Clinical Experience

☐Have conducted at least 10 hypnotherapy sessions with real clients

☐Comfortable managing resistance, abreactions, and emotional responses

☐Can articulate your scope of practice and referral boundaries

☐Have experience with at least two clinical applications (e.g., anxiety, habits, pain)

☐Maintain client documentation including session notes and treatment plans

Professional Readiness

☐Ready to commit to a 6-month advanced program with weekly assignments

☐Willing to present actual client cases for peer and instructor feedback

☐Open to competency-based assessment (observed sessions, case presentations)

☐Have an active practice or clinical setting where you can apply new protocols

☐Interested in specializing in anxiety, trauma, addiction, or regression work

You're ready to apply. Level 2 will build directly on your existing skills with advanced protocols, case supervision, and competency assessment.

You may still be eligible. Contact our admissions team to discuss your background — we evaluate each applicant individually and can suggest preparation steps.

Several areas need development?

Start with Level 1 Hypnotherapy Training to build your foundational skills. You can apply for Level 2 after completing your foundational training and gaining clinical experience.
