    Hypnotherapy Training for Psychologists

Add Clinical Hypnosis to Your Evidence-Based Practice

As a doctoral-level psychologist, you bring rigorous scientific training to everything you do. Clinical hypnosis has a robust evidence base spanning decades of research, and our training program is designed to meet the standards of rigor you expect. Integrate hypnotherapy to enhance assessment, treatment, and research in your psychology practice.

    Integrating Hypnotherapy into Your Practice

Our five-level training pathway builds on your doctoral training in psychopathology, assessment, and evidence-based intervention. You'll learn to integrate hypnotherapy with cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, neuropsychological, and health psychology frameworks. The program covers the neuroscience of hypnosis, controlled trial evidence, and clinical applications across the full range of psychological disorders. Many psychologist graduates incorporate hypnotherapy into their existing specializations, from clinical and counseling psychology to health and sport psychology.

    Why Psychologists Add Hypnotherapy

    Strong Evidence Base

Clinical hypnosis is supported by decades of controlled research for pain, anxiety, PTSD, IBS, and behavioral change. APA Division 30 (Society of Psychological Hypnosis) provides a professional community for psychologist-hypnotherapists.

    Neuroscience-Informed Practice

Understand the neural mechanisms of hypnosis including changes in anterior cingulate cortex activity, default mode network modulation, and enhanced executive control — grounding your practice in neuroscience.

    Enhance Treatment Outcomes

Meta-analyses consistently show that adding hypnotherapy to CBT and other evidence-based treatments significantly improves outcomes compared to the treatments alone.
