Kelly Bearer
Founder & Director
A clinical hypnotherapist with over 20 years of experience in mental health, Kelly recognized the transformative potential of hypnotherapy when integrated with transpersonal approaches — and founded BHI to train the next generation of ethical, skilled practitioners.
Kelly holds an M.A. in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and is an ordained Zen Monk, bringing a unique blend of clinical expertise and contemplative wisdom to her teaching. Her approach integrates evidence-based techniques with deep spiritual understanding.
What started in 2020 as a vision to train ethical, skilled practitioners has grown into an internationally recognized institution with over 1,000 graduates. Founded in Boulder, Colorado and now headquartered in Plymouth, Massachusetts, we remain deeply rooted in hypnotherapy training in Colorado while serving students worldwide through live online training.
Today, we offer a comprehensive 5-level certification program that takes students from foundational concepts to master-level expertise. Our curriculum is continuously updated to reflect the latest research and clinical developments in the field.
